Every wondered about the physics of launching Angry Birds or the gravity of catapulting pigs? This week in CGI it’s a week of everything Angry Birds! Believe it or not, Angry Birds is an excellent way to dive into a multitude of interesting and important topics in science, such as Newton’s laws of motion, projectiles, flight, gravitational fields, and energy.

Students have learned about different aspects of science through playing Angry Birds games, both digital and physical, and learn all about the relevant science they contain. Today they played Angry Birds in Space. They turned the lights off to create a feeling of being in space! After gameplay, the campers learned about the science of space and how comets work in gravitational fields. Angry Birds is a fun way to learn about science!
