In the second part of Jr. Robotics, campers learned more advanced programming skillsĀ and intricate engineering techniques. The campers went deeper into design and worked in teams to create more imaginative robots.
The campers create a robot using a LEGO kit. They could make anything they wanted using the pieces in the kit and the robot ‘brain’. The brain is hooked up to a computer program that the students can then use to steer the robot. In some cases, the campers can program the robot to move on its own as it tries to follow a designated path. One team created a robot with a wrecking ball while another created one with three wheels. Parents are invited to attend a presentation this afternoon to check out all the cool creations!
