Campers participating in The Science of Roller Coasters with Minecraft course within the Center for Growth and Innovation program (CGI) are busy blueprinting and building coasters out of K’NEX at ESF today.
Before they jump into the world of Minecraft and travel through a gaming universe full of castles and coasters and challenges galore, campers are learning how to construct their own physical coasters. They’re learning how to piece together small K’NEX parts to make their rides from the frame up. This way, campers can understand and navigate the intricate roller coasters that they encounter once they enter into a Minecraft world at the end of the week.
Check out the beginnings of some seriously cool coasters!
