The Junior Chef Academy campers put on a delectable family-style lunch this afternoon at ESF. As a part of the Center for Growth and Innovation program (CGI), campers have the privilege of experiencing a world of hands-on culinary exploration with their fellow peers and experienced Vetri Chefs.
So far, they’ve focused on grains, vegetables, eggs, and chicken preparation in the kitchen. Using the knife skills and seasoning skills that they’ve learned, campers worked together to serve one of the tastiest lunches they’ve ever laid eyes on. The menu included a lemon and garlic kale salad with polenta croutons, parsley and pepper potato salad, sriracha infused pickles, buttermilk chicken legs and pulled barbecue chicken lettuce wraps.
It’s a good thing these campers were hungry!
