Campers participating in the Robotics 101 course within the Center for Growth and Innovation program (CGI) are creating their own custom robots at ESF today. Yesterday, they learned how to connect a remote control to their bots and tested them against light sensors and motion sensors too.

Using what they learned, campers are creating robots that can detect motion and light and also be programmed to start or stop at certain points in the room using its remote. Some campers are creating a spider-like robot with arms and legs, while others are busy making race cars and trucks that are “smarter” than their normal bots.
