Campers participating in the Mess Fest course as a part of the Center for Growth and Innovation (CGI) program are becoming dissection experts today. With the help of Miss Rachel from The Franklin Institute, each camper had the chance to dissect a cow’s eye, a squid, and a watermelon at ESF today.
They started the morning with a pair of rubber gloves and a box full of preserved cows’ eyes. Campers paired up and were given eyes to dissect, but they seemed to spend more time comparing the cow’s eye to their own eyeballs! The eyes were rubbery to touch and still had fluids inside, which campers really enjoyed squeezing out.
At the end of the day, this Mess Fest classroom is going to be anything but clean.
