The Fiber Creations & Handworks course within The Center for Growth and Innovation (CGI) is back for another week and campers are even more creative than the last. The younger campers are learning the proper techniques of hand-sewing and applying those skills to making stuffed animals of all patterns and sizes. Some even made stuffed mermaids!
The oldest campers in the course are tackling some of the most difficult options offered including a pleated sundress, a striped-seam t-shirt and a zip-up fleece hoodie. Each camper was given the freedom to choose his or her own fabric and patterns for their individual projects, and the counselors are helping them cut and piece together patterns for each one. These campers have a ton of talent.
