The Center for Growth and Innovation (CGI) wrapped up its Game Design course this afternoon with a Parent Visitation Presentation. All week long, campers have been learning how to write web-script and HTML code in an effort to design and program their own video game.
Each camper used the same computer program to build a different Game World with different video characters and obstacles. Some included characters that could do flips and jumps and roll on the ground. Others designed characters that could act out a sword fight or ride a roller coaster within their specific Game World. Everything that characters did or acted out, was controlled by the web-script and HTML code that the campers entered in themselves!
