The Center for Growth and Innovation has launched a course called “Invention by Design” this week at ESF Episcopal. Lead by Master Teacher Mr. Michael, campers imagine and sketch their invention ideas and then actually bring them to life.

After completing a detailed sketch of their imagined object, campers then pick through a nearly unlimited supply of materials with which they can construct their practical inventions. Materials available include Styrofoam, cardboard, paper towel rolls, string, wooden craft sticks, pool noodles, Velcro, aluminum foil and more. Their inventions will be completely on Thursday afternoon. Campers are working on everything from cardboard desks and wake boarding shoes to aluminum mallets and water bowls for their pets!
