Campers in the Space & Rocketry class within the Center for Growth and Innovation program got to launch their very own rockets this afternoon. After setting up their launch pads, campers brought out their water rockets and CO2 rockets to deploy in front of family and friends who were invited to watch.
All week long, campers learned how to construct the two different rockets and each made their own individual rocket-body to put to the test. Campers also collaborated to construct the class’ launch pads, which included pressurizing components, detonating components, and a large structural base. The group put on a show for the rest of camp this afternoon, and literally had a blast!
