The Center for Growth and Innovation is hosting an educational engineering course called “Fab Lab” at ESF Camp this week. As a part of the course, campers have the opportunity to learn how to use computer programs like SketchUp and TinkerCAD to create a specific design and then transform it into a real three dimensional object. Using a piece of technology called the “MakerBot,” campers send their virtual designs through a computer program to be built as real 3D objects.
Campers have also been learning how to utilize specific HTML Code and text lines on the computer in an effort to create their very own web servers. Later this week, the Fab Lab Counselor, Mr. Matt, is going to help campers make their own blogs and websites to add onto their host sites.
