Kim Peirsall will be leading the following programs at EA this summer:
Junior Outdoor Leadership: Discover your surroundings. Navigate with map and compass. Create your own campground. Experience and practice problem solving and team building through a selection of mentally and physically challenging situations and obstacles to build discipline, self confidence, compassion and cooperation. Hiking, animal and plant observation, outdoor cooking, nature walks and basic craftsmanship will be elements of this week-long course along with journaling and reflection. PROGRAM LEADER: Kim Piersall
Kim is the Director of Experiential Learning at The Episcopal Academy. She is an alumna of the North Carolina Outward Bound School and NOLS where she developed her passion for Outdoor Education and fostering opportunities for students to achieve personal growth through challenge and adversity and with nurturing and supportive relationships. Her can-do attitude, enthusiasm and inclusive style encourage students of all ages. Kim is a believer that “Life is a journey, not a destination.” She adds, “The thrill of guiding students to make discoveries about themselves and the world around them is a never ending joy.”
