The Center for Growth and Innovation is offering some amazing technology camps this summer! One of the camps that we are very excited about is Minecraft Adventures: Video Game Design Camp. This camp has been developed by Ed Fleming, who just got back from MineCon where he met Marcus ‘Notch’ Persson, the co-creator of Minecraft. Ed crafted this major for campers to not only learn, but to have a great time while doing so. “There is so much educational value in this game. Not only is it fun for campers, it is a tool to teach all kinds of supplemental education such as physics, Newton’s Law, and history.” he says.
Minecraft, a 3D simulation game, is the world’s most popular video game. Sign up today and let your imagination be your guide as you learn how to design, build, and explore exciting new 3D video game worlds! This adventure will provide you with instruction in mods, programming (Redstone) and 3D Design. You will also fine-tune your problem-solving skills as you navigate the various construction challenges your new environment presents. Ultimately, you will showcase your 3D world to family and friends at the Major Camps Minecraft Convention!
No previous Minecraft experience is necessary! Beginner, intermediate or advance game designers are welcome!
